what kind of mosey are you inferring?

view of mountains looking north from vancouver, kitslano beach october 23, 2007
looking north at this picture, you can see the time is about late afternoon
in the distant foreground (white tipped mtns) is the area around squamish, whistler.
the weather looks ok for the time this picture was taken saying that there was no overcast in this area during the late afternoon that Boychuk went missing.

My software translator is still set to (try to) communicate with our southern friends... maybe we should try French...

As the sighting was reported from Fairview Road, I dare to suppose that the maximum effort was already done along this road, so I think that a little trip along the road which is on the other side of the mountain (Hwy 3a) in searching for testimony in the communities (Olalla ?) (or the golf courses...) would be a good idea... I don't know... In your opinion?

the report came from keremeos
the view keremeos to fairview road is limiting
you only see a portion of faiview road on google earth in terrain mode.
the other half of fairview road is not visible..only assuming that the viewer is
very much aware of their territory. The 3A is not visible over the mountain as the mountain obstructs any air traffic that could be in the area.
the viewer would have limited area to sight an object falling with smoke from the sky over that area.
the only other explanation would be further east than sighted...over hwy 97 and east from there.
FAIRVIEW ROAD IS OVER THE SECOND RIDGE.

i have to go out for a saturday breakfast with my hubby. be back later. take care.

An object in the sky was seen by a witness in Keremeos that seemed to have fallen in the Orifino Mountain area Fairview Road near Cawston on Oct. 23. Another witness was found to be in Penticton who reported a plane that seemed to be in trouble over the Reserve Land along Highway 97 earlier on the same day, said Sgt. Greg Dickie of the Keremeos detachment."

You're probably right, I don't know for what obscure reason I assumed that the witness saw something when he was on Fairview Road and that the witness (from Keremeos) reported the incident to the RCMP (which is situated in Keremeos...) ...

An object in the sky was seen by a witness in Keremeos that seemed to have fallen in the Orifino Mountain area Fairview Road near Cawston on Oct. 23

I am not wholly certain in fact that it is not, once again, the fountain pen of the journalist that has skidded... As you underlined it, the point of view from Blind Creek (Keremeos) is far from being ideal...

PS: a bit of tourism... http://www.sonotek.com/fairview.html

A trip that knows more about the 'possible sighting of a flare'?

Another flare?

Would not there be, how could we say, a small problem of reliability on this server?

Yes, it appears that all posts submitted to the GEC bbs (all forums) for the last seven days are not showing at this time.
The engineers have been performing maintenance on the servers and it is probable that this issue is related.
At this stage it's unknown how serious or simple the problem may be, but as the engineers are attending to it at present, we hope to know more soon.

Let me guess... Windows Server?
