what kind of trip are we doing?

A trip that knows more about the 'possible sighting of a flare'?

An object in the sky was seen by a witness in Keremeos that seemed to have fallen in the Orifino Mountain area

Another flare?

IMO the question is not 'why' Ron Boychuk could have been there rather than absolutely elsewhere, nor if these new info are more credible or logical than all the others.

The initial search failed. We must think different. Ron Boychuk must have done something unusual which is probably not in the manual of these guys, but have to be in his habits or at least in keeping with his personality.

The question is that we must take advantage (at last) of the testimony one deign to disclose to us (at last).

Of course, this include all other testimony from which the official search and its Internet vassals never drew any advantages, including our dear flare , the witness near Lillooet airport, Boston Bar witness, and I don't know how many others they concealed to us for obscure reasons I prefer not to know.

Once again (do I have any chance to be heard, one day?...) we absolutely do not need to acquire here a consensus about the places which must be searched.

IMO it would be much more efficient that each of us supports his opinion and goes to prove it on the terrain, as anyway the places where imagery must be taken will be decided without us, as usual, in a completely anti-democratic manner which became in the long run just a bit insulting for our capacity in mind. It became more and more evident that the individuals who decide of where must be taken our imagery are exactly the same who have absolutely no interest we find one day something inside.

Regards

PS: RB planned to fly: Revelstoke - Salmon Arm - Qualicum Beach. On previous trips RB had landed at Merrit and Pitt Meadows. A route Salmon Arm - Kelowna - Penticton - Pitt Meadows doesn't seems to me so "too much south of his usual route", especially for someone who was probably trying to avoid high mountains...

Elements of cogitation:

Daniel Katz

Daniel Katz left Perris airport en route to Bracket Airport in La Verne on Sunday 6-3-2001 at approximately 7 p.m., and had not been seen since.

On Saturday, September 20, 2008 the Valley Patrol Ship Crew, Deputies Shawn Moore and Jeff Karp, while conducting routine patrol of the Lytle Creek area spotted the wreckage at approximately 5,700 foot elevation on the north-facing slope in the area of Middle Fork in Lytle Creek.

Courtland Mumford

Courtland Mumford, a retired airline pilot with more than 27,000 flight hours, took his newly purchased Piper Cub plane to make local practice flights to the Aurora Airport -- but then failed to return.

A radar return placed an aircraft from the Portland area over the coast near Tillamook. However, officials said there is nothing to identify that the radar returned is from Mumford's plane.

Steve Fossett

"The radar traces we have lead us to believe the wreckage is somewhere on the eastern side of the mountains along Walker Lake" (Lt. Colonel Cynthia S. Ryan, Nevada Civil Air Patrol, interview to The Sunday Times, December 16, 2007)

By the time the Fossett search ended, CAPs pilots had flown 629 flights totaling 1,774 flying hours. More than 17,000 man-hours were invested in the mission. Sorties flown by CAP cost approximately $180,000.
