Vertical orbit curtain describing cloud vertical structure (Radar Reflectivity, dBZ)
derived from CloudSat satellite, and AMSR-E data for Typhoon Prapiroon.

The Cloudsat instrument is viewing the typhoon Prapiroon (August 2nd,
2006). On this date, the typhoon was located over the South China sea
and the Cloudsat parameter shown is the dBZ reflectivity parameter. The
heights of the highest clouds are ~15 kms and substantial convective
activity can be seen within the vertical structure of the typhoon.
The AMSR-E data is showing the rainfall rate in the area of typhoon.
