"In view of the historical circumstances of the birth of Hungarian literature, it is little wonder that literature in Hungary became at the earliest stage of its development a vehicle for service. The Hungarians were latecomers on the medieval European scene, and felt isolated on account of their language and outlandish traditions. Literature had to serve their transformation into a fully-fledged member of the European community of nations."

Syzygy -

If I had never come across your posts, or villa's, I would still know only three things about Hungary:

1. Budapest
2. 1956
3. Paprika

Wow! 1956 - that is a spooky coincidence! (And how do you get the little globe and "views" image in there? I've been wondering that for awhile.)

ah, still have problem with the screenies?
my method:
1. made a screenshot using "Print Screen" button of the keyboard.
2. started PaintShopPro and chosen "Edit / Paste as new image"
3. selected "Crop tool" and croped the section out of the screenshot.
4. saved croped image as JPEG to my computer.
5. uploaded the JPEG to photobucket.com
6. pasted IMG code* into the post.
(it took cca. 1 minute)
hope this helps!

Hy there.
I just wanted to say that the birthplace of Kazinczy Ferenc is most likely to be misplaced in Google Earth maps. There is another Simian, in Bihor county... now he is placed in Simian - Mehedinti County.
Thanks,
