Hi,
Google Earth is really a blast -- and I am very happily using it to explore the world. However, when I get closer to home, data quality sometimes becomes an issue...
when zooming into Switzerland, I find the city of Zurich labelled as 'Zurigo' in the 'Populated Places' overlay. That is very nice for the italian-speaking people of Switzerland, but quite inappropriate -- given that Zurich is located firmly in the german-speaking part of Switzerland. Change this to Zrich, or 'Zuerich' or Zurich, if you can't handle umlauts, please...
Oh, and this is in Germany obviously, but 'Cologne' is really named Kln.
The population mark for 'Horgen' close to Zurich is in the middle of a Lake. Last time I was there, Horgen was quite dry ;-)
There are many inaccurancies concerning your geodata in Switzerland (e.g. check for the Vierwaldstaettersee) -- and very very little high-resolution content. Have you considered to apply the data that swisstopo (http://www.swisstopo.ch/en/index) has to offer? For example they have full coverage of Switzerland with high resolution Ortho Photos (http://www.swisstopo.ch/en/products/digital/ortho/swissimage) giving you 50cm or better resolution with fairly recent data. I thought I would mention that here, even though I don't know how much they charge...
Any plans to augment the data quality in middle europe? I'd love to hear about this...
