Vertical orbit curtain describing cloud vertical structure of typhoon Prapiroon
(Radar Reflectivity, dBZ) derived from CloudSat satellite.

The Cloudsat instrument is viewing the typhoon Prapiroon (August 2nd,
2006). On this date, the typhoon was located over the South China sea
and the CloudSat parameter shown is the Radar Reflectivity parameter
(unit: dBZ). The heights of the highest clouds are ~15 kms and substantial
convective activity can be seen within the vertical structure of the typhoon.

I like it. Yet another use of GE to display data.

NASA_GES_DISC , I think its an excellent way to start making kml visualizations, considering its your first post!

The only thing I think you are missing is the scale, I mean to specify the clouds are not in real scale.

Congratulations!

5 Globes to you!

Thanks for your comments.
I am investigating how to specify the cloud in real scale. It looks that it is not easy.

A scale is added on orbit curtain for user easily
figuring out the real height of the cloud.

Any comments and feed back are welcome.

It looks like below:

Now, the orbit curtain is in real scale.

It looks like:
