LOL agreed. We (me too) do tend to focus on 'our little corner of the world'
I visit NOAA.org and map what they are tracking.

If they track the world, I would post those overlays as well.

(in the USA) The Pacific is relativly quiet and when there has been activity it has stayed away from Mexico and California.

Just added the forecast (today) for all actives hurricanes

the color code is :
Green icon for depression
Orange icon for strom
Red icon for hurricane (typhoon)
Click on each point for more informations

If you clic on the current position (icon with the red name) of each hurricanes, you can see a picture take by satellite of it (updated every 10 minutes too if datas exists )

Are you planning on continuing to furnish this for good? Or should someone else agree to host it.

The reason I am asking is because I have been looking for something
like this to augment my other advance warning weather software.

I am an Amateur Radio Operator involved in Amateur Radio Emergency
Services. I track storms all over the US and this is a great piece of work.

I might be able to locate a server for this if it is needed in order to make
sure this placement is available from now on.

Thanks, for this offert, but this future is hosted on dedicated server with 20 Mbps of bandwidth (and not overloaded for now) and i think it's enough to hold the datas and serve it to the community.
However, if we have a problem in the futur, i will "pm" you.
