The attached Google Earth document was created in response to the question: "How might we use art or design to promote a healthy environment and a peaceful, sustainable world?" The Google Earth document is not a direct answer to the posted question, instead it is a compilation of many answers. Art and artists featured were chosen based on environmental impact at various locations around the world. This tool can be used for a wide variety of learning experiences. Teachers might use it as a simple exploration of environmental social issues at various locations around the globe or as a launch for an in depth exploration of environmental artists.

Also featured in this google earth document are abstract satellite images from NASA. Capturing our earth as abstract art through satellite imagery reminds us of the urgent need to preserve its beauty. Although the images cannot be attributed to one person, they are a collaborative work by many authors.
