The aim of this puzzle is to navigate your way through a series of checkpoints. This time, to ease your mental torment, there are only five checkpoints. To work your way through the checkpoints: - Use the heading and distance values you are given to take you from the centre of the start city to the centre of the next city.
- Locate a given image which will be within 2km of the centre of that city.
- Complete a given task.
Notes: - Heading and distance values are approximate.
- Use the Ruler for headings and distances.
- You need the Roads layer turned on.
- The only image you need to post back here is the final image.
- The centre of a city refers to the city's labelled red dot in Google Earth.
- Unless otherwise specified, only the main word of a street name should be entered, eg., for W Shady St, only enter shady.
- It doesn't matter whether you use upper or lower case letters in answers.
Your starting point is Inverness, Scotland. (This is a starting point only - you do not need to find anything in Inverness.) Click on the image below to take you to the puzzle then come back here to post your answer. If the puzzle fails to load, even after a refresh, you may need to close your browser before trying again. Good luck! Compass image by ~Jet-Stream on deviantART.

Thank you You can use the "ruler" function. This gives distance and heading.

Did I miss something in the instructions? Checkpoint 5 takes one to ****** and from there you then have to go 10K@258. If so, that location is here? Oops! Found the Checkpoint, saw the picture and forgot that I had to find it also, Duh! So here it is, with layers turned off. Got so interested in sending post that I forgot, sorry. again!

Did I miss something in the instructions? Checkpoint 5 takes one to XXX and from there you then have to go aK@b. If so, that location is here? That should lead you to another city*. From the centre of that city, again search within 2km. * Wikipedia lists it as a town but it would certainly be a city with that population here in Australia.
