Like many of you, I got a kick out of flying to my house the very first time I used Google Earth. But after I'd had enough of zooming, tilting and panning around my neighborhood, I wound up asking myself, "What next?". I knew that Google Earth could take me virtually anywhere I wanted to go. But West London, England, is where I grew up — before I sought out new places, I wanted to see what Google Earth could show me about my own home turf that I didn't already know. As it turns out, it showed me quite a bit, and it was turning on the Google Earth Community layer that really made my neighborhood come alive.

That’s an awesome way to find things. I never ever thought of that.

1. I'll mark the places I go with placemarks and then write them down. (I don't own a navigation system).

2. If I find something interesting in GE, I like to travel to it and find out what it is. That's my challenge.

3. GEC KMZ Placemarks are very useful information for me along the way. It helps finding more information about the places I go to.

I use google earth for vacations and business trips. Mostly to see where my hotel is in relation to my business meetings. Or when we go to a beach house I get really close to see how close the beach actually is to the house.

I long time ago use very much google earth to build an application for my harbour pilot job in UK you may see my post under my name,Arrigo Garipoli, from then I left the application and I was very much in to it for building some sorth of chart mapping of the earth for shipping navigation with the grate possibility to interface all the information that a sefer need to know when approaching a regional area uknow to him, I dont see much more to do with google earth cause the limited aveailable internet connection and expenciseve yet now a day

I am new in GE, but GE is a usefull tool for me, and now I often use GE to look for the way that I should past when I want go to any place. I is easy and helpfull because I event find the every single distance in between every turning point so I will never miss. I can also use GE for measuring land, building etc dimension. thank to google earth.
