It's a little over 4 mi. long and way too straight to be natural, I think. Other than that, I have no idea! what

I could be natural, like a volcanic dike that is more resistant to erosion than the rocks it intruded. The trouble with this hypothesis is that there should be others around and I don't see any.

I think it's a geological feature, but not a dike, Hill. Looking around the area, I found a couple Panoramio photos which showed sedimentary sandstone features. There are several linear features, which I'm guessing are either faults or, more likely, folded sedimentary layer which when eroded, show linear features from the exposed layers.

My two cents.. Judging the colors when zooming in, it also looks like a nifty satellite image stitch. The dirt road at the end of the eastern site of the 'ridge' that crosses it, seems to end abruptly and then continues. Note that the color texture is also brighter on the south of the ridge.

Hmmm, maybe kite surfer's right. Zooming in, the "ridge" appears to have "stitches" or a regular interval of pieces all approx. 900' long, using the Ruler tool. And, there are a couple of places where the little rivulets in the alluvial plain seem to run up and over the "ridge", instead of going around the individual "stitches".

Could well be an artifact of the imagery, now I'm not so sure about it. You'd think a raised topographical feature like that would have an impact on the alluvial runoff, and it appears not to have any.

Good arguments. I'll go with the artifact diagnosis.

Ah, we have finally heard from our friend, Iman! Thank you for your analysis. It's funny, my eyes saw this as a crease, not a raised ridge!
