Oporto (Porto in portuguese) is, in fact, one of the most spectacular and monumental portuguese, if not european, cities. The urban landscape created by the river gorge and the bridges is unique in the world.

Asked by Daniel (Portugal) to give my opinion here, on this thread, i must say that, as an Oporto-born citizen and who has lived here for all his life, i truly am a proud "portuense" and would hardly trade it for any other city in Portugal... or the World!
Seeing all the beauty that exists in this or that corner of Oporto makes me reload my sense of belonging when i'm feeling low. The river, the bridges, the sea, the people, the busy neighbourhoods, the nightlife, the downtown, the markets, the gardens and parks... the sunset! A pleasure being a part of Oporto!
