You have done a good job. Really appreciable. But I found few subtle mistakes. One of them is the location of Madhavan park. You may have to relocate it tothe proper spot.

All the posts are fine, even with minor mistakes in location and spelling. The problem is: they are not classified into layers. Now I'm hardly able to spot any street or building, the whole map is crammed with names of places that I can't remove!

just one correction. The NAL and ISRO placemarks are totally wrong and out of place. Please remove them. (the one shown after HAL helicopter division).

Thanks for the various landmarks in Bangalore. Unfortunately there are too many markings making it unable to view a lot in B'lore. Is there a way we can get rid of the redundancies in the map to make it more useful???

We also need to make sure there are no duplicate postings...Every location I see has about 10 listings..KSCA stadium has 10, lalbagh has many and its obsuring the whole city.

I am just posting here as an entry point for discussion. I didnt know of any place where I can initiate a discussion on this. This posting in no way means that Dinesh is responsible for the multiple posintgs

Thanks for the inputs.

a) I am new to Bangalore, so some places may not be accurate. If you could tell me exact lat lon, I can move them and post a new version.

b) Things are organized by layers. If you want to see only restaurants, deselect everything else. If you want to see road names and tourist spots, unselect all at the top level and select just those two. Also, it may be a better idea to turn off community earth and community showcase from the layers, and only keep the above set of places enabled. That will reduce the clutter and duplication on the map.

c) you can Ctrl-F to find a particular location

d) If someone is knowledgeable about Bangalore, and you see some items missing or incorrect, send me list and locations, and I can add them here.

can u please tell me the exact location - you can place them yourself on google earth, and send me the placemark (or just the lat lon from google earth). I will update the master list.

there are different ways you can help

a) send a list of places in and around Bangalore
b) suggest categories where coverage is required
c) identify exact locations of landmarks and send
d) provide descriptions, phone numbers, directions to landmarks
e) for outside bangalore locations, provide road conditions, reasonable travel time, etc
f) for tourist spots, provide ratings
g) help organize the list
