I was surprised Google Earth used Pinyin for the location names in Hong Kong, these names were never existed in the history, nobody in Hong Kong could tell you where are they if you write them on papers, even postmen themselves...

Wonder where Google Earth team got these names from....

"Xianggangdao" should be "Hong Kong Island"
"Jiulong" should be "Kowloon"
"Shatian" should be "Shatin"
"Tsing Shui Wan" should be "Clear Water Bay"
"Zhunmen" should be "Tuen Mun"
"Yuanlong" should be "Yuen Long"
"Shiongshui" should be "Sheung Shui"
"Daipo" should be "Tai Po"
"Xigong" should be "Sai Kung"
"Quanwan" should be "Tsuen Wan"
......
and much more....... (headache)
will add to the list if I found more

"Pat Na Shan" should be "Mount Butler"
"Pak Ka Shan" should be "Mount Parker"

Apart from "Zhunmen" in red there is also a "T'uan-men" in blue, which I suppose is also Tuen Mun. But the two are placed miles apart, and it makes me wonder what "Zhunmen" really is. Nobody in Hong Kong has ever heard of such a place!

My favorite error, however, has to be "Shan Teng". I take it to mean "The Peak", but its position is nowhere near The Peak!

Hi

There's a place where you can (if you want to) report all these errors

And here's a post where Lrae explains for you

Welcome and thanks

Dulce.

I'm still figuring out what "T'uan-men" is...
It took me hours to translate them back to correct ones, and I suspect some of the beaches had wrong translation too, need to double check
