Set TERRAIN = 3X and fly around to REALLY appreciate how rough this race is!

I concur. I haven't done a lot of searching but couldn't come across any posts concerning the Baja 1000 routes. I have come across a handy little program that converts OziExplorer track or waypoint files to GoogleEarth kml files. Its called OziToGoogleEarth and it was created by Ray Perkins. This is my first post so I'm going to try to attach the zip file and an example of a file I converted (2003 Baja 500 course). The gps data for the 2005 baja 1000 is supposed to be available today.

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. Checked in a couple days after I posted the previous messages but was surprised when it didn't generate much interest. I can't believe there aren't more people interested in this. Seems like a great way to use Google Earth. I've been looking for route data for the Dakar. Do you have any ideas on where to find it?

Haven't raced yet. Plan is to ride the course this next fall with a group of friends and then enter in 2007 (assuming life, wife, etc. permits it).
