There are hundreds of these things scattered across the country. In these series, I have only plotted the ones that can be seen well in medium/hi-res pictures, and then usually only ones that are completely abandoned or little used. Locations which have been completely built over are not usually shown, since there's nothing really to see.

Info is to the best of my knowledge, but almost surely contains occasional mistakes.

I plan on doing one of these for each state, then perhaps doing what I have specialized in for several years, which is abandoned Army bases. Lots of work goes into this, so if there's no interest, I probaly won't continue it.

It'll be in alphabetical order, for simplicity. First is Alabama.

Here's the 1st part of California. I didn't realize how many of these airfields were in this state, so decided to split it into 2 parts. However, since I had already started research, each part isn't necessarily a certain area of the state.

Here's another bunch from California. Some really interesting ones in this set. Looks like I'm going to have to make 3 parts for this state. They just keep popping up the more I research for them. I've got about a dozen more that I want to include though, but I'm too tired. I'll finish California tomorrow & start on the next state.

Last set from California. I'm am so glad this state is done, even though I left out at least a couple dozen because they were in lo-res areas. I'm sick of looking at CA topos & sat-pics. On to Colorado & Connecticut.
