I must admit, I downloaded the non-public beta for Mac, but it wouldn't open on my iBook G4 running 10.3.9. Probably requires Tiger, and if that's so, I may have to shell out the 100 bucks or so to upgrade so I can use GE on my computer and not have to take over my daughter's PC!

Well, it looks like we're early enough in development where they haven't moved into much optimization - my PB 17" 1.67 runs GE at what feels like almost the same speed as the quad. The quad is a bit snappier on load & ui in general, but I'm impressed at how well it runs on the PB (which only has 512mb right now). I have access to an iBook G4 with Tiger, that'll be interesting to see how well it runs, if it runs.

my sister has a g4 iBook and I installed GE on it and it worked flawlessly. Its exciting that they're opening ge up to mac users which means it will probably me incorporated in schools a lot more becuase schools (at least mine) are predominently mac in the classrooms.
