Damorey's Oak, Damorey's Oak, in Dorsetshire was close to 2,000 years of age when it was blown down in 1703, but Yew trees last even longer - some may even reach 3,000 years of age, though there is much debate over these figures. Both trees grow slowly, but the Yew takes its time: it grows only 1 foot in diameter for every 30 years of life, on average.
