Good one. Took me ages to spot and I knew where to look!!! My uncle flew on Lancasters in WWII, and later lived in Huntingdon, so this has special significance for our family. Thanx.

Excellent find mate! Just moved back to the US after 8 years living just down the road from there in Alconbury. Sure makes me homesick!

And I thought you were just sulking...

It's certainly the all-time best find as far as I'm concerned.

Cheers

PA474 often flies with a Spitfire and a Hurricane. No sign of either of them I suppose!!

These images were taken by Mr. Nyhus, aka "Windstar" on another internet forum, for me on Saturday 17. December 2005. The Lancaster Mk.X MR outside the Aero Space Museum in Clagary seems to be repainted or primed recently.

Hi, Desmo, thanks for the update. Some way to go, though!

Oh, you know Frank; Every journey starts with the first step.

You've probably seen the recent images of the Handley Page Halifax Mk VII NA337 at Trenton? It didn't look like that, when it lay on the beach of Lake Mjoesa (Mjsa) 10 years ago. I have some paper images of it, because it's not every year they salvage a WW II "Heavy" . And especially not in my local area. These images need to be scanned first,to be of any use.
