Nevermind. It is a cool overlay. Have you noticed you can see the Nile river from 36,000 (yes, thirty six thousand) miles up (or the lights along it at least!)?

Whether those lights can be seen from space in reality, I have no idea...

Yes, that is one of the things I remarked on. Is there really lights all along the nile?

BTW This image overlay should be of higher resolution that any previous ones. I used the maximum possible resolution and compressed the image with no loss of detail.

Now you mention it, it does look a bit clearer.

Maybe one day (once they fill the earth with Hi-res Imagery - in about 10,000 years!), we could start getting night time imagery and have Google Earth in Day Mode or Night Mode!.....That'd be cool......
