That's right, the biggest mall in the world is not in the USA! But it's probably due to the fact that there's nothing else remotely interesting to do in Edmonton...

I can't believe no one has posted a link to the Mall of America in Minnesota yet. There are two for WEM, but none there. I am actually from Edmonton, and have known WEM all my life, but I thought someone ought to give some credit to the nearest competition.

BTW, the waterpark is the large black spot in the SW corner, and the amusment park is the oval in the NE area. Right in the middle is the skylight over the ice rink, and the smaller black oval N of the waterpark is the submarine ride. West of that is the hotel tower.

I had a friend in high school who worked at the amusment park. He used to be able to get us on all the rides for free. Free mini-golf and waterpark too. I spent way too much time there. I was on the roller coaster the night before the accident too.

indeed this a mall i have always wanted to visit. i'm right next door in B.C so i should really get it in gear!

side note, both malls i believe were done by the same person/company

I've been to both places, and MOA is very impressive, unless you've been to Edmunton. I live about an hour northwest of MOA. The park at MOA, formerly known as Camp Snoopy, is a joke compared to the amusement park at WEM. And yes, they were, built buy the same developer.

Not anymore there have been larger malls built in Asia
