Mrs. Seer and I took a relaxing weekend drive over to the coast in response to Lrae's post about the
Watsonville Air Show. He had mentioned that he would "be there to give out autographs and talk about flying and EV" so this was an offer too special to be missed!
He was indeed there as foretold. We met just outside the school where he teaches, Acme Aviation, and had a quick tour of the place. We saw the instrument-flying simulator and several interesting items in the office. Then it was out to the ramp to look at planes on the ground, taking off, landing, and flying overhead. Here are a few memories from yesterday.

Lrae let us in on one of the secrets of the advertising industry.
What are these cords trailing the aircraft... (Seer photograph, Copyright(C)2005)
...and why the steep altitude gain... (Seer photograph, Copyright(C)2005)
Aha! To "peel" the flying sign from the ground! (Seer photograph, Copyright(C)2005)
The final plane we saw was an aging veteran till spry at a golden age.
This veteran earned our Decoration Day salute. (Seer photograph, Copyright(C)2005)
What about the autograph? True to his word Lrae got out his pen and met all expectations. Thanks, Lrae!
