Here's an aircraft just taking off from an airport near The Hague, Netherlands.

Enjoy!
Cheers,

It's the old naval aircorps airfield "Valkenburg". Also used by the Royal Family.

The airfield is named: Airfield Valkenburg, and since a few months it is closed. It was allways used by the queen of The Netherlands when she had international affairs to attend to.

You must have an extraordinary vision, sharply noted!

The aircraft in question is one of the 4off Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) operated Orion, which is equiped for anti submarine warfare (tail).
The P-3C Orion, developed by Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Company, a land-based, long-range, anti-submarine warfare (ASW) patrol aircraft. For anti-submarine misson, advanced submarine detection sensors, such as directional frequency and ranging (DIFAR) sonobuoys and magnetic anomaly detection (MAD) equipment are equiped in P-3C.
The RNL Navy terminates the anti-submarine tasks and is forced to sell the aircraft (to Germany).

This aircraft just left runway 05 from "Naval station Valkenburg".

Its a Royal Dutch Navy P3C In its old green/grey colors.

Nowdays they are painted lightgrey.

German Navy bought them; the airfield is only used for training the german crews.

I now, because i live 2 km's from the base!

there are 2 more white aircraft on the apron. One is a Beech, used for training, the other one is a Learjet used for electronic warfare training with navy vessels...

bye from beautiful Valkenburg.

By the look of the shape of the shadow, the plane is most likely a Orion naval reconacence plane.

The long pice on the end of the plane houses submarine tracking stuff.
The exact type is unknown to me but i live near the beach and during the summer we used to see plenty flyby's of these types along the coastline.

Well my humble opinion at least ;-)

Orion it is. The long tailboom contains MAD or Magnetic Anomaly Detector. It detects minimal variations in earth's magnetic field denoting the presence of a submarine. It is at the end of a long boom in order to be as far as possible from the magnetism (=metals) of the airplane itself.
