hi, i enjoy your work -it is very interesting. i was pleasantly surprised after downloading google earth and looking over my 'camping area' in Northern California to find a report that i had submitted to the BFRO (class B- we heard noises).

i would like to help provide you with more accurate coordinates, if you like, as it appears to be off by at least a mile.

thank you,
james

Thanks for the feedback. Sure. I am always very interested in improving the accuracy of the report locations. You can send me a private message here with the report link and the correct coordinates.

Hello Mangani, I have viewed your google earth post in Jasper National park & I have a suggestion. The actual location of the post is 33km away from the actual location of the sighting as the crow flies. If you take the road it is about 75km from the sighting.
The actual location is at these coordinates 53 06.930'N, 117 44.779'W. You may wish to re-post the location. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the feedback.

But you will have to tell me which sighting in Jasper NP you are referring to, as there are several, and I have no way of determining which one you would like me to correct. i.e., Please supply the link associated with the Google Earth Placemark, or the current incorrect coordinates.

Also, it would be helpful if you would explain how it is that you know the actual location of this report.

Mangani I am referring to the bigfoot sighting on Sulfur ridge. I have hiked this area many times and it is indeed as described in the BFRO sightings database. I know this because I have lived and hiked in this area for more than 40 years.

lucidx1,

I have corrected my location data for this report http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=1423 to the coordinates you supplied. I will upload the corrected file with my next update.

Thanks for the information.

Mangani,

I'm a new user. I have been using computers for 25 yrs and Google Earth beats them all for wasting time - but it is fun.

I came across your "Big Foot" icon in Quebec, Canada. My intial reaction was even Google Earth harbors nut-cases - till I read the eye witness accounts on BF??. Nope, there is some ape like creature running around in our woods.

An coincidence made me a firm believer. Wife and I live in the Endless Mtns of PA. It use to be rural but is now over-run with immigrants from NJ but still many unpopulated areas.

My sister-in-law visited a few days ago and reported seeing a mountain lion on her property. There aren't any mountain lions (cougars) in the Endless Mts - according to the Game Commissioner.

I checked around and found numerous sightings of 80 to 100 lb cats by very credible neighbors. Either my neighbors are nut cases or the game commissioner is.

No one has found a cougar carcass. No one has shot cougar in NEPA. So either I have a sister-in-law and a bunch of neighbors affected by hullicinagenic mushrooms or the game commisioner is wrong.

Yep, big foot is a fact.

Sorry-

I was referring to your site near the Middle Fork of the Teanaway River, North of Cle Elum, Washington. Since that was where I saw your post, I inferred that you would know what area I spoke of.

I was curious about Managani's location of "1967-10AUT". I was a first-grader in Winlock, WA, living about a mile WSW of there, and used to play with the kids who lived at the farmhouse just South of his marker. Back in 1944 I don't think BigFoot had been invented yet, at least not in that area. Nor, in the years since then, have I heard of any sightings in my old neighborhood. Just wondering.

You should click on the link included with the placemark (in this case http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=1564 ) to learn more about any reported encounter.
