Like so many others, I find this post to be great. A very useful posting representing a lot of work.
As you can see, I live in Norway, and it was a bit shocking to me that a lot of the placemarks for the Nordic countries were quite a bit off.
In the worst cases, they were off by as much as 470 miles!
That's like placing the Statue of Liberty in Detroit!

I have used the Garmin Mapsource program to correct the Nordic placemarks concerning the countries of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

I have also added links to some good websites.

Historic centres of Riga and Tallinn are placed outside of the cities (in 200-300 km or so from the respective cities).
