Not quite sure what to make of this.

At first I thought the blur could be the ship with one of those ghosting effects, but this is only really for objects at a height above the surface, so I thought the blur could be a cloud.

The blur seems to be at height, since the coast just to the east, at the same height, is distinctive and in focus...

Any ideas about the 'cloud' or the strange Hull outline??

The blur looks like something (possibly a boat) that's part of the 15m/pixel TerraMetrics imagery that's between the aerial imagery of Germany and the imagery of the Baltic. The resolution is too low to identify the object. As for the "ship", I don't have clue, perhaps some sort of alignment artifact? I don't think it actually exists however (as in, it's not part of the original photograph), it has no shape or texture and is inconsistent with the surrounding image in terms of quality.

That's my best guess anyway...

I'm beginning to thing it's wreck of some sort. As well as another similar shape found (attached placemarker) close to this location, the whole area is full of wrecks from WW2.
