This is LSA Anaconda, also known as Balad Airbase, in Iraq.

There are many soldiers over there on that base right now that would be quite delighted to know that you have highlighted the location of the main entrances and flight lines. I know that most of this information is in the public domain but that dioesnt mean that you have to group it all together so that some terror cell in Iraq can plan their attacks off of your data. I know where Anaconda is and have been there but you do not see me posting the base on the net.

So you are in the oregon national guard. I am in the New York National guard and just spent a year in Iraq on a small little camp that we shared with your own 2-162 infantry.

Considering the man I love is over there at Anaconda this very minute, though I appreciate the information, I do not want the insurgents to know every detail of the base. I appaud whoever took the critical information out. Thank You!

Negative it was a Iraqi Base before we invaded and took it, its US now. I just came back in Sept after a year at Anaconda. Pretty good detail, but if the Insurgency wants to see better they just walk up to the fence and look. If you can locate the truck staging lanes and look directly west you will see rows of trailers thats where i Lived.

Right, And the Freedom of Information Act, allows us all to view this Data that was taken. I been here to Balad twice. The last trip was the greatest. I picked up my Replacements, then trained them for a week.

These images are fairly old..I can see the basketball court I helped take apart and move to the newer rec area.
