Lucifer, Noticed that there are multiple views in the live track now! Thank you so much... Now what would be really cool... If there were a way to integrate the live tour updates from the TDF site: http://www.letour.fr/2006/TDF/LIVE/us/300/index.htmlI have no idea if this is possible... maybe it could be done if those posts were RSS Feeds, which they are not. Thanks again for the views options!

Still not able to use the live feature Using a web anonymizer I was able to access your web site and the kml files, however using IE or GE fails to load anything. It looks like funpic.de is blocking some subnets from Romania (I tried from the office and also from home).

Don't waste your time on this one. I can live without it, or I will download the files manually and then open them in GE.
Thanks anyway.
Later: I solved the problem by creating a separate folder in My Places with 'custom' network links. These are your links with the text 'http://concealme.com/nph-proxy.pl/000110A/' in front of them.

Is there an archive of the LIVE waypoints?

Hi,
I'm new here, I race in Canada. I have a computrainer I use for indoor training whih I can build any course with from GPS data. The more GPS data I have (Lat,Long,Altitude) at very tight intervals, I can duplicate the course the riders are on, and re ride the virtual road indoors over winter...
I am wondering if anyone has an archive of the live waypoints, and can I possibly get them?
Thank you in advance!
Chris

Hi Chris, Nice Idea! Well we have only the 2D coordinates for the Tour de France, That meen NO altitude, which is I would guess not so interesting to ride fully flat. Basically you have the course from the Placemark. If you need it in another format look at www.gpsvisualizer.com

Hi Lucifer,
I'm new to this google earth stuff, and just stumbled across the TdF for it!
By Placemarks, I am assuming those are the every 5km points??
You don't have coordinates from the Live feeds around that could be used as placemarks do you??
What I am thinking (And I know this would be tedious work) But if I had frequent placemarks, I *could* just mouse over the placemark, record the lat/long and altitude that way.. as I said very long, but well worth it in the end! I tried doing this on one stage and just following the path with the mouse and recording data... the only problem for me doing it this way is sometimes I got lost on the route to the next 5KM marker.. maybe I was looking at something wrong...
Anyways, full credit goes to you for this outstanding work!!
Thanks, and if you have any ideas for me on easier retrieval of the data, please let me know...
Chris
