52 = 46.67

Well you know, that has something to do with the relativity theory.

As you certainly know, Google Earth is based on satelite technology.
And these satelites are flying dam fast, That is where time dilatation comes into the game.
Distance, speed and time being unseparable we therefore have some side effects in GE regarding the distances.
It is also affecting the time and speed but this we cannot notice in GE.

Yesterday I wasn't able to take a look at the live tracking but what I see today tops all of my expectations!!!
The option to choose your own view seperately from the live positions is super!!

Thanks Lucifer!!

And again: Keep up the good work!!

Thanks for the flowers.

But have you noticed how good I am at Trigonometry????

Shouldn't the backwards camera bee looking "Back"
And the peloton camera should be looking towards the head of the race and not somewhere back??

Wow am I good

...euhmmm

When you look at it that way... it should but the only view I use is "Tte de la course, tilted camera" because I like to see the upcoming hills and height differences.

The flowers can wait until you've altered the trigonomity but I still like the options you provide!!

"Split Position" ????

You are using an old version!!
Download the placemark from the first post and you will automatically get the actual setup for the race.

I have reworked the live follow up because it was still buggy.

Now It works quite well ( If the Server "funpic.de" is not down), I am just left with an error when placing the "Attards" group.

EDIT July 16th
Problem Solved. The risk of having to interrupt this service is banned.

These last days you have certainly noticed that the live coverage was not reliable.

This is due to the fact that my current free webspace provider either is having problems or is kikking me (I am if fact not exactly complying to his rules when hosting KML files).

Today (Prise de la Bastille) I host the files on my private homepage but the traffic limit will soon be reached. And then its over.

So here my call for help:

Does anyone out there have some webspace with unlimited traffic for hosting the live coverage of the TdF.

Requirements:
- Webspace: <5 MB
- FTP upload
- unlimited traffic (Well I don't know how much)

If you have an Idea please send me a PM
Thanks for your help

Wow, brilliant live update version.

Is there a non-live version? This would just show the actual stage routes with the mountain peaks and sprint waypoints.
