I noticed that there weren't almost marks in Madrid, so I marked these places...

Try looking at these placemarks in conjunction with these overlays of Madrid in medieval times. (~1200AD?)

The "Fallen Angel" that you have pictured, while unique, isn't found in Plaza Mayor.

It's in Ritiro Park, not far away on the east side of the park at Lat. 40.41096, Long -3682345.

I live in Madrid and think it has an interesting history, too. Ta Luego!!

The ngel cado is not the only statue of the world dedicated to the Devil!! Everbody thinks that and it's not true!! There is another one in Mexico, and I think that there is a third one in another coutry, but I don't remember where it is... A friend of mine knows it.

There is no such thing as Palacio de Oriente in Madrid

The name of the palace is "Palacio Real" and "Palacio de Oriente" is incorrect although not totally uncommon.

The name of the palace, Palacio Real is rather obvious. The name of the square to the east of the palace is "Plaza de Oriente", also for obvious reason as it is to the Orient of the palace.

Because of the similarity of the words "plaza" and "palacio" and some mental laziness, some people say "Palacio de Oriente" which makes no sense because the palace is, in fact, WEST of the square and west of Madrid.
