Hi,

My first post here. Congrats on this great collection.

I have 4 more (2 of them which I've dived / snorkeled) off the coasts of Venezuela, Ecuador and Chile. As far as the program tells me, none of them have been marked by the community yet.

Cheers

EDIT: 4 more wrecks added in Anguilla, Honduras and Oregon

EDIT: Added the Otavi wreck in Namibia

Hi again,

I have added the wreck of the "Otavi" in the post above this one. While not on the Skeleton Coast, it sits in a similar setting in Namibia. It turns out that there are significantly less wrecks in the Skeleton Coast than in some other places, such as the coast of Mauritania. In fact, I haven't been able to locate any more. If anybody wants to give it a try, here are some handy maps and photos of the sites:

Good luck!

Here are another 2 wrecks in the river leading to Um Qasr in Iraq.

The discoloration of the water is the current kicking up the sand from the seabed.

I have some close up photographs of these if anyone is interested.

Welcome to GE jockmackay.

Good find,
I add this one to the collection, and of course we are interested in the
pictures.
I like to add them in the placemark.
ps, where is the second wreck, ?
