Hi Brabbit,

I'm from So Paulo, Brazil, and I intend to create such a guide of my home town, myself, however I have no idea of where to begin.
Could you help me with some tips? I couldnt find any...

Tks,
Claudio

hi claudio,

i started with au travel guide book. you can find all the important sights there, then go to google earth, find the sight, and placemark it. turning on streets can be very helpful finding the places of interest.
then when you found one, just write a description to it (or copy and paste from a travel website) and post the link to a picture if you want. you can also embed a picture with a html tag.

thats pretty much it, if you have any problems just contact me

Hi Brabbit,
me to, as Claudio Bueno, have intention to do the same of you with the East London. My problem is not how to find informations, but how to attach more then one placemark in the same file.
Sorry for bother you,

TTS

P.S. Wel done with Amsterdan, great job indeed!

ok, thats pretty easy actually

just create a folder in your my places section and call it "london guide" for example. then just save all the placemarks you want in that london folder.
when you are finished, just right click on the folder and "save as" a kmz file.
you can then attach that file to your post in the community here, and everyone who downloads it can see that london folder in his google earth, just like with my amsterdam folder

hope i could help you
