Plz ignore my pointless ramblings

Turn on the Keyhole Community BBS layer, this place is full of random events.Im not surprided this missiles turned up here.Area 51 is close by.Most likely all the testing donew here explains the weird going ons.I heard a story from a girl in america who used to get annoyed becuase even though they lived miles away from Area 51 they could hear and sometimes see the rockets and supersonic aircraft there.

Ok, what would be the compreensible statement to not consider the two objects not flying? like two small towers or objects of any sort?

Why I think like that? First) Missiles fly at great speed, I don't know what is the shooting speed of the satellite camera, but possible it would create a blur on the image, or an elongated image. Second) the missile speed would cause the ever known blue ghost on the image, due the time displacement for the color CCD. We see that on most flying airplanes, why not on those flying missiles?

if you are photographing 1/4 of the earth's surface in even low resolution random and rather unpredictable events will happen.

Had to bring this one up again huh? The eastern most "missle" looks to me like its on a stand of some kind. Definately on the ground but I can't figure out if it were a static target, why would they want test bombing so close to an active runway? The real wierd stuff here is the runway that goes SE from these with a plane on it and the apparent tunnel it came from at the far end as well as the others next to it.

That 'missile' is 10 metres (30 feet) long. Probably not a missile.

I'm not that wise in missiles and helicopters, but for me it looks like they are on the ground.
If yoy look carefully, you can see that there is something like a concrete construction on the ground around the object. - the lighter area around the object - see where my placemark points

It could be an coincidence, cause I don't see that on the other object.

Anyway, I think these objects are standing on the ground and not flying at all!

Looks like a cheap airplane imitation for target practice to me. Looking at both "missiles" you can almost see the pillars (from cylinder to ground) onto which the cylinders are laid on. The shadow is good indicator of height.

As it happens, it's almost exactly the length of a SCUD missile.

Since Tonopah is a test & live fire range and it's reported that they have quite a museum of actual foreign equipment, this is likely a mock-up for training due to it's location in the impact area.

Just a guess, but best I can do based on information.

And don't forget, it's Nellis ranges, they don't always fly out of Tonopah to shoot stuff.

The Ranges are chock full of all sorts of targets, some fixed, some trucked in for exercises. Mobile SAM sites, working radars, troops with IR missiles, that sort of thing.

There's the 15 ft (approx) rocket that sits at the entrance to Tonopah, for comparison's sake. The link above is the overhead view..

I think its a genuine missile, besides, if I show it to my friends, you think they'll try to refute my claims? Nuh-uh!
