Some local interesting landmarks in Lhasa.

These are places we went as we drove from Lhasa to Shigatse, Tibet.

Our last day in Tibet.

These placemarks were gathered for Prof. Jill Schneiderman's Earth Science and Environmental Justice class, Spring 2009. Some of the placemarks are locations from the class readings. Some are from previous KMLs that I created (i.e., mines and refineries). I also asked the students to search on Bhopal, India, use Wikipedia for the coordinates to copy and paste into Google Earth, then fly to Bhopal. In all cases and locations, please notice the photographs. The photos tell a story, sometimes more than the birds-eye view.

Google Earth 5.0 has just made it even easier to present a tour to students and colleagues. They've added a Tour icon to the toolbar and you can record your motion and voice. This is a very short, rough first try.
