Ray and his bird are pretty far apart. I don't recall the distance. I plotted a vector between them to go looking for the cameras, saw the distance, and decided it was a pretty dumb idea.

To be honest, I came away from Ray's landing zone with not much of a feeling that I found something. That is, I think I found where they cleared some land for the chopper. But there was much mining debris in the area, so you can't tell what is what. Beer cans, stuff like that. Some of the trash looked pretty recent.

I went back and looked at the A12 site and where the F15 was located. You just can't tell much from google earth. It is no big secret that roads on the satellite image that are not on topo maps COULD lead to a crash. But there are many roads that seem to go no where.

You can always file a FOIA and get the CIA report. Also, you can try to FOIA the USAF Flight safety center. [Lackland, Kirtland, one of those places.]

To the Moderaters..... I just posted in here and noticed I labled them as SR22's. Just a Freudian slip as I work with Cirrus Aircraft Daily!!!! Sorry meant to type SR71. I corrected the placemark labels already.

A couple of problems in your file:

1. You have four image overlays. None of them point to valid
Web addresses.

2. The email address you provide - blackbird@ubero.us - is invalid.

Cheers!

Your position is in the area of course but quite a ways away. I will tell you that your crash site is about as far away from Ray's POI as the A12. On GE you can't see either POI even when you KNOW what your looking at. Let me tell you standing in front of the A12 POI, you'd be hard pressed to convince anyone that a large aircraft had crashed there. There's just hardly nothing left. It was tough to find ANY black metal. Only a few pieces remained. Tom made away with a minimal large chunks and he spent some time there as well.
