This the first multi-image overlay I've done and it's still something of a "beta" version. I may add detailed overlays to more regions in the future (if I can find them). You can see the soil types in a number of areas around the world. The writing in some of the legends is hard to make out.
The default overlay upon loading is the entire world (in low detail).
There is a more detailed overlay for Africa available.
The following countries are mapped in detail:
Afghanistan Argentina Armenia Bangladesh Canada Cuba Denmark Ecuador England France Ireland (Eire & NI) Israel Lithuania Nepal North Korea Pakistan Philippines Poland Russia Romania Scotland Sri Lanka (external link) USA
As well as the following regions within countries:
Japan: Hokkaido Japan: Kyushu Kazakhstan: Aral Sea region Malaysia: Peninsular Malaysia Myanmar: Rakhine
The map for Sri Lanka is just linked to because the file was >2mb and was slowing the browser down too much.
I recommend that you don't have all the high detail images on at once if you hate waiting for things to load.
hello, just noticing, Your 'israel' placemarker under thie post is actually positioned in jordan, thats a different country. it needs to be shifted a bit to the left.
