This collection contains numerous data sets which overlay various moon data onto the earth. The following data sets are included.

- Color shaded relief map of the moon from USGS.
- Color Mosaic from Arizona State University Space Exploration Resources
- Greyscale image from Clementine mission with source image from Northwestern University.
- Features collection contains the locations of about 9,000 craters and other features.
- Several WMS Layers are also provided.

I just finished a texture update for this data set. There is now a much higher resolution version (49,152 x 24,576 pixels) of the moon textures available. Just refresh your KML file or download it again from the original post.

By the way, if there is someone out there with ISIS installed, I'd really love to add the color version of the moon textures available at the bottom of this web site http://ser.sese.asu.edu/MOON/clem_color.html I just need it converted to a TIF or JPG file.

Very nice, but do you know how to save the settings in the layers viewer and your "My places" viewer, because I want to turn them off to view the moon properly, but i'm scared to as this will mean i lose what i've got viewable and what is hidden?
Is there a way to save and restore a previous state?
Very good quality picture of the moon though, thank you.

For anyone following this post, I just did a big upgrade to the moon layers and moved everything to my new server. The textures should load MUCH faster now. I also added several more layers that are available via various WMS servers.
