This Flight Simulation includes a practice scramble from Elmendorf AFB and low altitude awareness training (flying low in the rocks!) in the Revelation Mountains in a military training area west of Anchorage, Alaska.

I flew a profile (with real world training events, but I left those out here) similar to this for many airmen who were awarded "incentive rides" or "orientation rides" in the F-15 Eagle while stationed at Elmendorf AFB. Most of them wanted to do three things:

1. Go straight up and straight down.
2. Break the sound barrier.
3. Pull 9 Gs.

Due to the limitations of Google Earth, we won't be able to go straight up, but down we can handle. At some point we will at least look like we are moving supersonic, but if you feel any G forces greater then ONE, you've had too much to drink! Anyway, enjoy the flight!

(Oh yeh, there's a bonus... YOU shouldn't need a barf bag!)

Take a turbo-powered helicopter ride from McCarren International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, fly down the strip and up treacherous Boy Scout Canyon to Hoover Dam, then touch down in the Sam Boyd Stadium parking lot (like the jet-setter that you are) to catch a Rebels game. BYOTP. (That's "Bring Your Own Tailgate Party!) Hopefully your pilot hasn't been to the pre-game warm-up, because he'll need to be alert for this one! (Recommend Terrain and Buildings ON, Geographic Features OFF. Even more dramatic if you use F11 to run it full screen.)

This is a flyover I created using KML path generator, found at...

http://dev.bt23.org/keyhole/pathgen/

I really like the path generator because it eleminates the "Rabbit Hops".

The best settings to view this file are... Tools, then Options, then Control, then click the Advanced button. Under Driving Directions Tour Options, put 70.0 in camera tilt angle and 1500.0 for the camera range. The speed is up to you.

This file really gets you down in between the canyons... Beautiful country!

Does a PanAround qualify?

Here is one you can play as a flyover, except you are circling like an eagle riding a thermal.

Enjoy Tarantula Hill in Thousand Oaks, California, in the good old USA

Soar like an EAGLE, and turn the terrain layer ON !!

Last couple of times the time stamp in Australia was not tomorrow.
It could be the time of day of my flight.

Find your SUNSHINE,

Fly right now through DAY and Night to tomorrow in Australia.

Enjoy your TOUR, play with terraine layer on and 3 minute pause.
If you really want to get google eyed pause for 10 minutes

Help!
There are some excellent camera sites that are made available with JAVA streaming, quicktime, real or media player.
Does anyone know how to get to the source so I can place it in a image-overlay or placemark?

Best wishes

Please turn terraine layer on.

Pause for 5 minutes to see the scene of the webcams change.

The most interesting place is CHOPAKI STRAND.
Over the months I have seen it deserted, then frozen, Lots of skaters on the ice.
Right now there seems to be Tourist Ferry running and people milling around.

Kecskemet has lots of people in the square.

Enjoy your Hungary tour. Fly around Magyarorszag. See Budapest

Taking advantage of an undocumented feature--may not work in the future.. I had an earlier version of this little tour. that I liked better, but the images were replaced by updated data. but this one is still (in my opinion) good for a little wow!.

Make sure the elevation exaggeration is set to 1, and the speed is set very slow. Also, it helps to load the cache by making a slow pass over the placemarks before running the tour. Might also be a good idea to set down your coffee.

Well here's a flyover of the Wall that Israel built to separate the Palestinians from Israel. I made the model of the wall and the Qalandia Checkpoint next to it, so there are some rough edges in the wall (I'm not the best 3D artist). I'm trying to show the magnitute and enormity of the Wall using this flyover.
