This is an active airfield and many of those MIGs are still flying. Looks like a significant military presence as well including housing and possibly an HQ. Someones gone to a lot of trouble keeping the taxiways well paved in the S/E alert area, even the N/W one doesn't look to bad. By Africa standards this base and its planes are not bad at all.
Looks to me like the place has two missions. Alert/intercept and tactical bombing. Looks like SAM sights on both corners as well. This is an active military airfield. Nice grab.
