Hi, I downloaded the free version of google earth a few days ago. It worked fine over my new dsl connection - just recently it decided not to login to server and I dont know why.
I disabled all firewalls - have no virus protection running - closed off all other running programs - have lowest security settings in internet explorer and have disable all cookie blockers etc.
but still cannot login.

google earth could not contact the authentication server to activate your session. The application will continue to operate but will only display data available locally (in cache). To rety session activation, you should verify your network connection and restart the application. For more information, please visit
http://earth.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=2071my video card is fine because it was working good before so I figure the problem is in my network settings somewhere...but where?! I think it goes through port 80...but is that blocked locally? how do I unblock it? or is earth google just down or something?
I imagine the servers cant be full up because as far as I know google has heaps of server capacity - I dont think I have any spyware thats stopping it because my spybot already fixed any problems I once had...umm...
I am not enjoying the same three cities anymore...I need the server login!
(I have got the grand canyon in my cache though....very nice)
thanks..
