I don't know how to get to any Google Map support to let them know that there is an error, and I don't know the technical term related to the joining of two map images.

This occures at Wyanagla dam area, NSW, Australia. The high definition image of the dam has a low definition image to the east which is not correct. The do not correlate. This low definition image does not correlate with the high definition image to the east of it.. The low definition image as shown in Google earth is not related to this area.

Approximate location is 34 0'2.64"S : 149 3'46.90"E

Two observations:

The low resolution image for which you provided coordinates actually does appear to correlate. The shores of Australia's Lake Wyangala to the west in the high-resolution image were photographed when the lake was very much lower, so a close examination shows the low resolution image (taken at high water) aligns with the early shore lines fom which the water has receded in the high resolution image.

However, the location you pinpointed near Greenmantle shows evidence of double photographic exposure, whcih has been noted in THIS POSTING.
