Amazing animation I compiled this evening of a thunder cell that produced a HUGE tornado outside of Dodge City Kansas on 5.4.07. (The Greensburg Torando). The images were downloaded from the NWS website as they were posted in real time and I used the timestamp feature of GE4 to animate the storm. In the larger cell you can clearly see the J (Hook) shape of the giant tornado as the entire cell is rotating. You have to let it run through a few times to load all images, and if you play it fast you can really see the rotation. The weather channel said tonight that some storm spotters had spotted the funnel and reported it to be over a mile wide at the base. - David
