This is a special place I found in Chernobyl. I was looking around the 'Ghost City' which is inhabited since the great Chernobyl Nuclear Plant Catastrophe that happened in 1986.

In this special area, I noticed blue, green dots and like giant 'candles' glowing. I wonder if these are radiation units captured by digital globe...

Unit 4, which was a 1GigaWatt generator exploded after a routine test that failed.

It is estimated that over 400,000 people died from radiation, and still today, the area is still very dangerous and is impossible to live in for the next 48 000 years !

A nice site with lots of info here:

Well, this is the former experimental greenhouse plant, where some experiments was done concerning the possible vegetal mutation caused by soil irradiation; and the possibility of agricultural revitalization of the exclusion zone. These greenhouses were abadoned about 1995, now only the partially collapsed structures are still exists.

The 'spots' and 'candles' can be seen on the image are not much than light reflection from the glass roof, and the structure of the greenhouses.

By the way, the inner exclusion zone is not as dangerous as people thought, but it's not suitable place for living. The background radiation level in Pripyat is between 0,9 and 9 μSv/h, depending on the place.
