Hi, again, Francois. No need to shout, I'm just trying to be helpful!

That's a nice shot you found, but Haribotagada found it yesterday here

So having got you to put a placemark, I now have to ask you to remove it to avoid duplicates! Sorry 'bout that...

Never mind, there are hundreds more waiting to be discovered.

When you're plane-spotting for aircraft in flight it can save you time and effort if you download the files "Satellite Capture of Aircraft in Flight" and "AerialPhotography of Aircraft in Flight" These are updated every day, and posted in the Transportation forum, so if you have these in "My Places" and enabled you can instantly tell if the aircraft has been seen before. Here they are:

Satellite Captured Aircraft In Flight
Aerial Photography of Aircraft In Flight

Keep hunting and keep posting!

Cheers

Frank

FRANK:

Thanks for the help. I followed your instructions and it looks like my placemark is gone now (although I think someone else just marked the same place!)

Best,
JOHN APICELLA

Not sure why I was zoomed in close enough to see this or even what I was looking for in the area but whatever the reason, I finally found one I can post. I've been holding on to this one for at least a month, just to make sure it hadn't already been posted. Anyway I think he's out buzzing the boats for fun.

Hi, Kain.

Nice original find - I've added it to the database of AIrcraft in flight.

BTW, you don't have to hang on to your finds to be sure they're original.

The only thing I would ask you to do is to edit your post slightly to give a location. This will make it possible for the search engine to find your post the next time someone else wants to check it out.

Keep hunting and keep posting!

Cheers

Frank

This plane is lining up to land at New Chitose Airport, near Sapporo, Japan.
It's one of the big real big ones, maybe a 747-400.
