When I started with GE 2 years ago this was one of the objects I was looking for first, but there was no imagery avaiable. Today the post Unfinished Obelisk Aswan Egypt inspired me to look again and after a wile I was happy to find the maybe biggest man made stone in the world without GE layer.




Stone of the Pregnant Woman aka Hajar el Hibla aka Hajar el Gouble aka Stone of the South

At the southern entrance of Baalbeck, Lebanon there is a quarry where the stones used in the temples were cut. A huge block, considered the largest known stone in the world, still sits where it was cut almost 2,000 years ago. Called the "Stone of the Pregnant Woman", it is 21.5m x 4.8m x 4.2meters in size and weighs estimated between 1,000 and 2,000 tons.
