Thanks for the overlays, great job.
I live on what used to be RAF Martlesham Heath, I notice that you have the 1946 aerial photo overlay a bit wrong. What you probably didn't know was that the NE-SW runway was extended after the war and obviously after that photo was taken, this means that many of the remaining buildings and features don't line up at all well. This extension is just about all that is visable of the old runway.
I have redone the overlay taking into account that the photo shows only the shorter runway and things line up pretty well IMO.
I have attached the file so you can add it to or amend yours if you would like to. (at least I hope I have attached the file)
