A beautiful ski resort complex with huge verticals, The Pitztal Region boasts 19 cable cars and ski lifts and over 40 marked runs as well as unlimited off-pista areas on 5,945 ft. vertical. The Region includes the Resorts of Hochzeiger, Rifflsee and Pitztal Glacier totaling to over 21,004 acres of skiable terrain. I also happen to know that you can ski off the 'back side' of the Rettenbachjoch Quad Chair (Hochsolden) in the Otztal Region and thereby ski into the Pitztal Valley. Note, I would not recommend access from the Tiefenbach Glacier side of Hochsolden (due South), unless you are with a guide and experienced in glacial travel, the Pitztal Glacier is enroute.
