I see in your profile that you are a psychologist and hence your attempt to correct the meaning of "childlike person"

In the very ancient Eastern philosophies, words most often have many layers of meaning...............and Baba means what you say also- a father figure who is treated with great respect and fondly given the honorific/appelation of Baba.

But Baba also connotes childlike person , not by the modern psychological meaning of an older person with a mental age of a child. (I know you, probably, did not mean this either, but something close to this, you being a trained psychologist.))

Here, we mean childlike person to mean a person so very wise and mature in his mental and spiritual growth, that he drops all the trappings of a grownup person relating to being shrewd, mature, calculating, with no desire to imbibe the ability to scrutinise and size up a person or situation, even bordering on cunning- all the trappings of "a man about the world" are dropped......so its childlike person in this sense.

In modern situations such a person might be wrongly recognised a 'retard' or naive person at best or a fool in a worst case conclusion...................its no wonder at all, that, all the genuine spiritually attained persons in India have a huge group of educated professionals, as devotees, running the affairs of the saint- the charitable, religious, medical, educational, and funding of the poor activities.

Now, no one is giving us a reasonable and satisfactory scenario of what lies in the future ?

Its simply based on the fact that GEC has attracted many very knowledgeble persons who have posited the forum with a wealth of information, some examples, all lighthouses in the world, or all the music of the world, or all the museums in a country, etc etc, all of encyclopedic proportions(!!!); all the very well presented issues of global warming, environmental issues like emission of carbon monoxide etc etc etc.

So the question is, the future of this huge information is linked to the future of this forum.

Firstly, how do forums like this function.........and I mean in the business and economic sense. (If we knew how forums administer and plan their future we can then guess their ability to remain going.)

Secondly, can forums per se be shut down for any reason relating to the whims or wishes of the "owners?" and/ or based on technical or economic reasons.

Have I tread into some uncharted territory and am asking more questions than I should?

Thats possible, because there has been no response from the "bosses upstairs" except for "technical" reasons spelt out by The Ledge.
