hahahaha!!!! we drifted off but did get some good info on languages !!!!

And anyways, except for panorammadict giving us some background on how Keyhole and GE GEC now operate..........no one else has said anything concrete about the future of GEC....................

I, personally, did encourage the drift,in case we were all treading on a delicate issue. Hey folks, if this thread, the future of GEC, is to cause any ripples in the pond, lets all be friends and get on with other topics on GEC !!!!

now that forums are fast becoming depositories of such good information, the question arises how good are chances of forums closing down for whatever reasons.

Frankly, more than GEC, wikipedia( I am surprised to learn is a forum) has huge huge volume of encyclopedic info...........so what happens when such forums decide to close shop.

By contrast , Britannica.com, associated with the very great institution, Enclycopedia Britannica, will go on, atleast hopefully.
