Thanks for your reply. It made me realise I didn't ask the obvious question to my readers: do you know anybody else with the same idea? .
I checked out Santiago Espeche's site: very interesting. Unfortunately my Spanish is'nt any good, so I didn't understand if these are printed satelite images or if he somehow manipulated them. Iv� sent him an email and inveited him to join the discussion. I also added his link on my bog.
